Episode 13, Page #21 - "Rover(s)"

Aoi Notes: 08/06/2008

I've been hard at work trying to get all 15 of the book reprints that we're doing approved and to the printer. Thankfully, I'm not doing it completely by myself as I do have Vid and Bambi handling some of the books, but I do still have to go through them and make sure any changes or corrections get made and generally just make sure that the books still match the earlier editions. It's a time consuming process, to say the least, and it's times like this that I'm glad I have a three-computer set-up for an office. It means I can e-mail, surf and instant message on one computer, do any major InDesign or Photoshop work on another...and watch TV shows and DVDs on the other.

Anyway, one of the DVDs I watched today in a bout of InDesign-related boredom was Troop Beverly Hills, which I hadn't seen in quite some time. The one thing that struck me after a while was the fact that Shelley Long's scout daughter in this movie was a young Jenny Lewis...who, if you don't know, starred in the seminal video game road trip movie The Wizard. The thing is, Troop Beverly Hills came out in theaters on March 24, 1989, and The Wizard was released the same year on December 15, 1989... and Jenny Lewis had definitely hit puberty. So it left me wondering just when Troop Beverly Hills had actually been shot, but I couldn't really find anything on 80s Rewind or elsewhere to really give any indication. Oh well, that was random. (Btw, if you're into indy rock, Jenny Lewis currently performs with the group Rilo Kiley.")

And since this post is really going absolutely nowhere today, I'll leave you with the totally amazing "lost pilot" for the Buffy: The Vampire Slayer Animated Series that never got picked up...

See you Friday!
